How To Remove Demons From Ourselves And Others

 

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:17-19, KJV)

This post has been a long time in coming. For a while it seemed that forces conspired to get me to not write it. When I finally hunkered down into the spiritual warfare battle that I realized this must be, I was then able to fight them off and finish this post.

The battle was such, that I soon realized that there must be deep truths within in it, that satan does not want shared with others, for he fought so underhandedly and determinedly. At one point I even thought of giving up the blog. But the Lord came forth and greatly encouraged me and strengthened me, henceforth this post. I feel like my whole being is shouting “praise to You Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth!”

Many are those who contact me, asking for help in being freed from demons. Most are real requests, while a few others are hidden attacks and jabs from the evil one. When I get done writing this post, I plan to add a page on this blog just on deliverance, so that all who really hunger for spiritual freedom, can access it day or night, and will not have to wait for my email response. I do not minister to people from this blog in person, as that would break my promises to my family to keep this blog anonymous. If you really feel the need to have deliverance ministered to you by another, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance, and trust that the Holy Spirit will lead you to where you need to be.

Deliverance is a way of life. It is not something done just once or for one thing. As the Lord just recently reminded me, it is a constant concerted effort to fight the good fight, and to retain one’s freedom from demonic harassment. BUT WITH JESUS IT CAN BE DONE!

I suggest starting with the cleansing of your land and home first, simply because it then makes getting rid of all other demonic influence so much easier. (Close the doors so they can’t call in their reinforcements, and then get rid of their friends!)

If you feel the calling to get your deliverance in a different order, then do so. Perhaps there is a demon that needs to be cast out before you can get rid of certain objects in your home. Always start where the Holy Spirit is telling you to start!

During the writing of this post, I have been delivered of demons myself. I do not know all, and I can only share with you what I have been given. Much of this post, is a compilation of other sources that have worked for me and others.

Please note that I do not agree with everything that these links may claim. Yet there is still a huge amount of truth in them, spiritual warfare wise, to be of great use to the body of Christ, so I include them in the post. For this reason, I plead with you, to always be like the Bereans and check what is being said against the scriptures. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth; and He will never go against His own Word. If there is a discrepancy, it is most likely satan trying to deceive, or it is man’s own interpretation of the scriptures that is at fault.

A word of warning: PLEASE make sure you are a Blood-bought believer in Christ before attempting to cast the demons out of your home! The demons are very well aware of who belongs to Jesus Christ, and who does not. Do not be like those in the bible, who got torn up by the demons because they tried to control them but did not have a relationship with God. (Acts 19:13 – 16 “Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of [one] Sceva, a Jew, [and] chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? I have found that the biggest fallacy that hinders people from getting free from demonic influence, is the lie that Christians can’t have demons. But there were those in the New Testament who had demons, and they believed in Jesus enough to come to Him for help:

Some of the nicest Christians I know, have some of the most messed up lives you could imagine. Divorce, drugs, health issues, poverty, are just some of the things that affect them. To an outsider looking in, their lives become a mockery of Christ’s promises to His children. Yet when one tries to help them, by explaining to them how to get rid of the demons plaguing their life, (and causing them such havoc,) they refuse to believe that such creatures could possible affect them in any way. I have found this to be the biggest stumbling block to the joy in their life that Christ wants them to have. Please see:

The other major stumbling block, is a believer’s own tongue. Swearing and the use of vulgar language definitely causes demons to be called towards you, yet what we say and believe as Christians can also have a tremendous effect upon our lives, and even on the lives of those around us. We have great power given to us by Jesus, and many have not yet realized its depth. The scriptures tell us that: “The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.” (James 3:6) And these scriptures: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21) “Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.” (Proverbs 21:23) “For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:37) (See also Proverbs 13:3.) Jesus Himself told us: “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” (John 15:7) (See also John 14:13-14, John 16:24, John 14:14, John 20:31, 1 John 5:14, and Matthew 21:22.)

This means that we can proclaim a thing, (within His will,) and have it become so. Of course, this can be quite a problem for us when our words are negative ones. There is a family of demons called the jinx demons, and they just love it when we curse ourselves or our loved ones. (https://dreamsofdunamis.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/beware-of-the-jinx-demon/) When we say negative things about each other or ourselves, even if what we say is truth, we are giving the demons permission to fulfill the curse and cement it further in our lives.

There are several more ways besides this that demons can be allowed into a believer’s life.

What we eat or put into our bodies, can provide doorways for demons to attack. This also includes what we may breathe in, shoot into our body, etc. Even going under general anesthesia has caused some to be attacked. One had noted that his wife had trouble connecting with the Lord like she used to, after undergoing major surgery. After casting out any demons that may have entered during this procedure, she was able to go back to the way she was. Our family has noted that Monosodium Glutamate, fake sweeteners, and some pharmaceuticals have given us demonic trouble. Of course what you do can open up doorways also. If you are sinning, or have sinned and have yet to repent, then the demons can use this as an opening to attack you.

Where you go, can cause demons to try to attack you. For example, demons have tried to attack us while visiting Masonic buildings or other pagan places. Even going into the stores around the holidays, can be troublesome. When we went into the local Home Depot store around Halloween, they had a huge skeleton that was dressed as the grim reaper placed at the front door, ‘welcoming’ in their customers. We felt great demonic evil from it, and had to bind it up in the name of Jesus, for the demons to leave us alone.

What you listen to. Satanists and illuminists are out there, involved with the music industry, and have even put forth spells upon some of the music. Choosing to listen to such cursed music (or sounds for that matter,) can allow demons in to trouble you.

What you see. Paintings, video clips, or drawings of demons or of cursed places or things, can affect people. Demons like for you to see them, so then it is easier for them to attack you. Who you lay hands on. Listen closely to the Holy Spirit, especially during deliverance. If the Holy Spirit is warning you not to lay hands on a person, then refrain from doing so! Be careful of whom you lay hands on. Demons can be transferred from person to person, especially through touch. This is why 1 Timothy 5:22 says: “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.”

What you wear. Wearing Masonic or satanic things on your clothing or items, such as skulls or crossbones, witches wheels, or etc. This also includes tattoos and body piercings. Demonic doorways are created as the needle pierces the skin. Tattoos can also be a form of tribute to demons, depending on what the tattoo is – skulls, pentagrams, etc. This would still create open doorways for the demons because of the design. – a simple bow and ribbon design may not continue to attract as many demons like a skull and crossbones would.  (See http://themodifiedbody.com/ for more information on the spiritual problems with tattoos. The writer of this web site used to be a tattoo artist, and he researches into the different doorways that exist in tattoos, such as genome changes, nanotech enablement, DNA vaccines, and resonant frequencies. What your ancestors have done. This is a big one. Demons love to cling to family lines. When demons stay within a family line, this is called a familiar spirit. Anyone in the family dabble in witchcraft? Anyone join the Masonic Lodge? Do you know what your ancestors were doing four hundred years ago? The sins of the parents can still affect their children, on down the line. As an example, one of my kids had a familiar demon in him, a demon of un-forgiveness, that caused him to hold long grudges against others. When it was cast out in Jesus name, it was discovered to be a resentful Lakota Indian demon, that had managed to transfer itself through the family line from my side of the family, down through the years, till we discovered it in my child.

And lastly, what others have done to you. Witches, and Satanists, spend a good deal of their time cursing believers. Unhealthy emotional ties to others who were abusive to you, or other things like this can cause the demons to try to attack you.

If you are out in public and feel attacked, you have the right to bind up demons that are causing you problems. Casting them out can be harder, especially if you are in a place that is controlled by a witch or Satanist. It is the owner of the property, (or the person renting the place,) that holds the legal right over the demons, to keep them or get rid of them. If the owner really wants them, then even if you get rid of them, they will return, for the owner has given them the legal right to do so.

Who can cast out demons? I quote demonbuster.com for the answer: “In Mark 16:17, JESUS says, “THOSE THAT BELIEVE SHALL CAST OUT DEMONS.” JESUS is talking to ME and YOU. We have no power on our own. That is why JESUS said to cast OUT demons, lay hands on the sick, and raise the dead using HIS name. We have found it beneficial to use the blessed (set aside for God’s use only,) olive oil while casting out a particularly nasty demon. The blessed olive oil is a symbol of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. “And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.” (Mark 6:13 KJV) (Zechariah 4:1-6 shows why the olive oil is used as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.) Demons hate it. Often times when casting out sickness demons, there is instant pain removal the moment the oil touches the skin.

If you can, try to name the demon that is troubling you. Describing the symptoms can be its name. As demons like to work in packs, (or legions,) the use of a thesaurus is sometimes helpful. Cast out all the names that are similar, just in case.

Cover everyone with the blood of Jesus. Say “I cover us all with the blood of Jesus.”

Use scripture whenever you can. It is our sword! We have seen demons crumble and become quite weak when we read God’s Word out loud to them. Then they are much easier to get rid of. Psalm 91 is what the Old Testament priests used to fight off the demons that would try to attack the temple. We use Psalm 91 to fight off the big demons. It has always worked.

Praise Jesus! This helps to get rid of the really stubborn demons that don’t want to leave. Praising Him during troubles is an especially powerful weapon against the demons. They can’t stand it so they leave!

If these things still do not work, then try speaking in tongues. For many years, I suffered from severe period cramps. I would sit and scream and cry from the pain; they were so bad that I struggled just to walk. Nothing helped, and the doctors even opened me up to see what was wrong. They said it was a birth defect, and that there was nothing they could do for me. But one day, the Holy Spirit told me to speak in tongues, specifically to sing a hopeful song in tongues. Hallelujah! The pain lessened to the point that I could easily handle what little was left. Even though I am now beyond those years of monthly courses, I still speak in tongues whenever body pain hits me. And it always helps! (Note, be cautious in having a whole group of people speaking in tongues while you do deliverance, unless you know each one well. You do not want an undercover Satanist speaking in his tongues while you are ministering!) See also:

Note: It is always a benefit to have a praying partner while casting out demons. Luke 10:1 says: “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.” Your helper can be quietly praying along side of you, or they can be whispering the scriptures out loud. This can make deliverance a much smoother and quicker path. Make sure the helper is also a blood-bought believer as well. It is also good to try and cast out the demons when no other animals or children are near by.

Also note, that you can get attacked by demons, when you are trying to do the right thing. For example, many, many years ago, I got attacked something fierce, every time I tried to crack open the bible to read it. So don’t always assume that if you are getting attacked by evil, that you should stop what you are doing. If it is sin, then yes, of course stop. If you know that you are doing the will of God, then don’t. Bind up the demons troubling you, and then cast them out, in the name of Jesus.

Some have claimed that there must be some kind of sign or symptom, that shows that the demon has left. Our family has seen the demons as they came out of us, (and had symptoms such as sneezing or coughing,) and other times we could not see anything, and had no symptoms such as sneezing or coughing, but the pain was instantly gone.

First, say “Peace be to this house”. For example, you could say: “I bind up all spirits, principalities, and powers of evil that are here or near by. I bind them up in advance, and I break apart and cut all their lines of communication between them and their higher-ups. I invite the Holy Spirit to come in and work through us. “And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, saying, Let [us] alone; what have we to do with thee, [thou] Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. (Luke 4:33-35) Mark 5:8 8 “For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.” Mark 9:25 “… he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.” Acts 16:18 “…But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.”

(This is a Chick Publication. http://www.chick.com/catalog/books/0169.asp) Though I do not agree with him on which bible version is the best, (he’s a 1611 KJV only person, and I happen to appreciate the 1599 Geneva version as well as the KJV,) I HIGHLY recommend this book! I have found it to be the best one available at this time out on the market. ISBN: 0-937958-43-3 It has all three areas of spiritual warfare in it, along with eye-opening testimonies. It is one of the most dog-eared books in our library. This is the book that we read to really set us free from all the demonic harassment we were experiencing. Each one of my kids has their own private copy of it. It is that good!

Prayers That Rout Demons: Prayers for Defeating Demons and Overthrowing the Powers of Darkness” by John Eckhardt. Again, each kid has their own copy of this book, it is that helpful in fighting off evil. If you ever get tongue-tied and don’t know what to say to fight off the evil, then this book is for you. I have it in audio format, and sometimes I will play the whole CD, and the demons will vacate the house. I look upon it as a form of fumigation.

“Demon Hit List” by John Eckhardt. This book is simply a list of the demon’s names to cast out. When we brought this book home, along with the one listed above, we heard the demons crying out and saying to each other, “oh no! They have that book!”

“23 Minutes In Hell: One Man’s Story About What He Saw, Heard, and Felt in That Place of Torment” by Bill Wiese. I add this book here, because it was a big help to me, in discerning specifically what attacks were from satan. Whatever is found in hell, usually comes from satan. There were things in this book that surprised me, and I would not have thought to cast them out or bind them up before reading this book. For example, offensive odors, was one thing I had not thought to bind up in Jesus name. Yet this is commonly found in hell. So, one time in a restaurant, someone had an incredibly offensive odor upon them, and it was causing me difficulty in breathing. Remembering this book, I bound it up and cast it from me in the name of Jesus, and within a minute or so, the smell was gone and I was able to breathe freely.

This book I put last, because it has some questionable things in it. You must really have on your Berean thinking cap while going through it. However, it is included here because the chapter on deliverance to children was helpful, and as it is a long-standing book on deliverance, it may already be in someone’s library. It is: “Pigs In The Parlor: A Practical Guide to Deliverance” by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond. I will give you three issues that I have with it, as an example. (There are several more issues through out the book.) On page 31, it speaks of being baptized in the Holy Spirit, and not being baptized in the name of Jesus. This seemed quite Catholic to me. On page 42, it speaks of getting rid of ‘some’ pornographic material. Good heavens! Why only some? Why not get rid of all of it? And on page 50, the author claims that “there must always be a balance between positive and negative factors.” (Chapter and verse for that one, please?,) That sounds a bit yin and yang, or false Eastern religionish  to me for comfort. So if you do get a hold of it, be aware of issues such as these.

Books I suggest to avoid:

The Bondage Breaker” by Neil T Anderson. Sadly, he relies a great deal on man’s solutions to a spiritual problem. He tries to combine God’s ways with modern psychology. But the Lord tells us in Isaiah 55:8 (KJV): “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways…” You simply can not combine them and expect Godly results. The Lord told me that I had to remove the book from our home, for it would become a curse upon our family if I did not. Needless to say, it went in the trash right then and there.

“They Shall Expel Demons: What You Need to Know about Demons—Your Invisible Enemies” by Derek Prince. I found that he allows for a lack of faith and unbelieving when it comes to healing. Again, the Lord told me to get rid of the book. He even specified that I was to throw it out and not give it to another, for it would stop them from receiving their healing. Note: This may apply only to this book. I have heard good reports from others on some of his earlier works.

Surprisingly, many Christians go to “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis, to get a good idea of how satan attacks us. When I read this book, I was attacked by demons who were trying to convince me that there was nothing I could really do to defeat such demons. And of course, there is nothing in the book to suggest how to get rid of demons. When my kids went to read it, they found they could not. It was either seen as a black smoky page, or when glimpses of it could be seen, no writing was there. The Lord told us to not read it and to get rid of it. (That is when we learned all about C.S. Lewis not really being a Christian.)

In conclusion, I pray that the Lord would bless you and keep you, and make His face shine down upon you, and give you His peace. I ask the Lord Jesus Christ to guide you and gift you with the Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit that will guide us into all truth. (John 16:13) I pray that the Lord would give you great strength and determination in getting yourself and your loved ones free from all demonic influences. I pray that this will bring you even closer to the Lord, and that you will hear from Him most clearly and frequently, as you spend more and more time with Him. I ask these same things also for myself and my loved ones. Lord, protect all Your children from the evil that is out there in this world. Amen and Hallelujah! For John 8:36 (KJV) says: “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
