A Miracle: The Angel and Their First Customer

In an effort to bring in more money into the household, my husband started up a business. Him and his partners did their research, and knew that there was a great need for the product that they had created. So they were quite confused when, after almost two years, they had not even had one customer. They met and discussed closing the business.

That night, my youngest was woken up in the middle of the night by a very bright light. It shined out from the corner of his room. It waited, and when my son refused to get up, it shined brighter. (He was very tired.) Finally my son realized that it wouldn’t go away and let him sleep, till he got up and gave it some attention.

When he arose, the light dimmed, and he could see an angel of the Lord standing before him.

The angel told him, that the reason his father’s business had no customers, is that there was a pagan man praying to his god to bless this company (he was a friend of one of the partners,) and this man’s prayers were actually a curse upon the company. The angel told him he was to tell us to bind up this man’s prayers, and break their bonds and cords, and claim that they are as nothing.

The angel then said that the company could grow and be a help to us and one day even help out the body of Christ, if we prayed for it. The angel said it needed the prayers of his mother, to help it succeed. (At the time, my husband was doing this on his own, and hadn’t really talked to me about it.) The angel further said that when someone would ask about why the company was so successful, we were to say it was because of Jesus.

My husband was amazed at the message, for he had not told his youngest anything about the company’s problem.

We talked about it and came to an agreement. Then we bound up this man’s prayers in the name of Jesus.

Three days later they got their first customer!

Today, the company is growing, and we give all credit for its success to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hanukkah is a time to remember the miracles on one’s life. This was one of them.

May you be blessed with miracles in your journey with the Lord,

A Day In The Life Of Dunamis

A Day In The Life Of Dunamis

My day started out slow and peaceful. My doctor’s appointment wasn’t for a little while yet, so I thought to do some shopping before hand. I went to K-Mart to see if they had my favorite shorts in, but all they had there were capris. While I was there, I seen an older lady with a nice top on. I heard the Lord’s voice within me tell me that she needed to hear what I thought about it, so I smiled to her, and told her that I liked her top she was wearing. She looked surprised at first, but then I could see relief in her eyes, as she smiled back at me and said thank you.

When I got done at K-Mart, I drove over to WalMart. At the corner I seen a mother and her child sitting along side of the road, holding up a white sign that said “Please help”, and something else that I could not read. The Lord spoke to me then, and said “I want you to help her.” I was surprised at this, for often times the Lord tells me to bypass those who do this, for often they are really not in need and are just out to try and scam you for some easy money.

So I made a mental note to stop by when I finished my shopping.

I went in to WalMart, to see if I could find a floral arrangement for a woman who had suggested one of my sons for a job opening she had heard of. The Lord was telling me that I should buy her some flowers as a way of saying thank you. I sensed cut flowers was not the thing, and that a potted plant would be much better.

So I went out into their outdoor garden area to look for one. The roses looked sad, as did many of the other plants, but their petunias looked fresh and bright. But this woman just did not strike me as a petunia kind of person. So I kept looking, hoping to find something I could give to her.  Intead, I found myself being followed by a pair of black colored birds whose eyes are rimmed with a thin white line. Whenever and wherever I moved, they did as well. They stayed about an arms reach from me, and chatting at me as if they were trying to get my attention. I finally stopped to talk to it, and asked them what they wanted from me. They would move their neck up and down, and then quickly snap their beaks open and shut as if they were eating something. “They’re hungry,” the Lord told me.

“There isn’t anything for them to eat around here?” I asked Him.

But just then the Lord told me that I had to get moving, for I was running out of time.

So I went back inside, and found some pretty orchids that were affordable. I sensed from the Lord that these would do. So I bought the healthiest one they had, a pretty deep purple colored one, and drove to the doctor’s office.

When the secretary called my name, I stood up and told her that these flowers were for her, as a thank you for suggesting my son for the job opening. She exclaimed that she just loves orchids, (she told me she has a collection of them on her windowsill,) and that she does not have this color already.

I was thankful to discover that I had purchased wisely. I thanked Jesus for His help in finding them.

After the appointment, I sensed that it was not yet time for me to go home yet, so I sat in the car until the Lord spoke to me.

“I want you to go back to WalMart.”

“Oh, I replied, “You want me to feed something to the birds?”

“I want you to go back to where that woman was and give to her.”

He seen into my heart, and knew of my reluctance to go back to her. So often I avoid such people, (at least in this area,) because they usually liars out to scam you.

“So you would feed the birds but not the person?”

Then I knew that I was indeed hearing from the Lord, and it was not just my imagination.

So I drove back over to WalMart, and sure enough, she and her son was still there. I went up to her, and handed her all I had in my wallet, which was only about twenty five dollars and some cents. I seen the full sign then. They were looking for a place to rent. I held out the money to her, and said “The Lord told me you needed this.” She took the money gladly, and said to me “God bless you!” I was surprised at this, for I could hear the faint Indian accent in her voice. (The Lord reminded me that not all who are from India are pagans, and that He has believers even there.) I told her that I would pray for them to find a place to stay. She seemed very thankful, especially for the prayers. I prayed for her right then and there.

I then got back into the car, and asked the Lord where I should go next. He told me to go back to the garden center at WalMart, and feed the birds, for it was now their turn.

I laughed.

“Why do you laugh?” He asked me. “I take care of them just as I do you.”

I then remembered the piece of scripture that spoke of the Lord feeding the birds and dressing the lily. Nowhere did it say that the Lord always does it without ever using man to help Him.

So I drove back to the garden center.

I heard that pair of birds again, crying out, and prowling the parking lot for a speck of food to eat. Their cries bothered me, for I could hear how upset they were. (After raising chickens for so many years, one becomes attune to a bird’s panic cry.)

I could see that there was nothing in sight for them.

Walking into the store, I seen one of the workers there. “All those birds out there,” I said to her, “They have nothing to eat.”

She laughed and said, “Yes. Did they swoop down and dive bomb you too?”

“No,” I said. “They just followed me wherever I went.”

A customer called out for her help, so I left her and then asked the Lord what I should get to feed them. (I had checked for something in my purse or car, but both came up empty.) I thought of buying them some crackers, but the Lord told me, “No. Get them some bird seed. They need the health that comes from real seeds.”

He guided me back to where they had some, and I found the cheapest bag they had there. $2.95

I could afford that. (At the moment we are watching our pennies very closely, and do not have much to spare. But I knew I could cover that cost easily.)

I went to pay for the bird seed, and the lady I had spoken to earlier was the cashier. “So you’re really going to go out there and feed those birds?” (I could tell she thought I was one of those unfortunates who had lost their mind.)

But all I said to her was “Yes.”

I didn’t put the seed in the garden center directly; I sensed that the workers would only sweep it all away. So I went outside the garden center, and spread handfuls of it on the parking lot and side areas. At first the birds flew off, thinking that I was throwing something at them, but when they realized it was food, they came back and began to eat. Their chirps seemed calmer now, without the jarring panic that was in them earlier.

“Where to next, Lord?”

“The Dollar Store.”

Ah yes. The boys were asking for more of their favorite beverages that I get from that store. (Martinelli’s sparkling white grape juice.)  So I drove there and began to shop. I found a few items there, but not the drinks. They were sold out.

As I was leaving, I seen an older man choosing a helium balloon for a child.

The Lord said “Rex.”

I thought for a moment and said “yes, he does kind of look like Rex, doesn’t he?”

I then went out to my car, and put my purchases in the car. I was trying to decide if I should use the lady’s room before driving home, or if I could wait.

“Go to the ladies room,” the Lord told me.

So I went back into the store, and as I was walking back to the bathrooms, a voice stopped me.

That man that I thought looked like Rex, was actually Rex, and he was obviously wanting to talk to me. This surprised me, for we were not really friends, just  acquaintances. I had met him at one of the local churches.

So I stopped to chat with him.

Poor Rex has been going through a really hard time. A few weeks back, his fiancée killed herself by taking prescription drugs, drinking vodka, and then soaking in the tub. She slipped under the water and never came up again. Rex had found her in the morning, and the horror of it has not yet left him. Now, weeks after the funeral and memorial services, Rex finds he is struggling to just keep going. He tells me of his emotions, anger at God for taking her so,…or was it really her time to go or not?, and the overwhelming grief that still hits him suddenly, whenever something reminds him of her.

After listening and paraphrasing the best I could, I told him that I thought that satan had something to do with it all, for I felt it was satan that got her to start drinking again. You see, his fiancée was an alcoholic that had just recently started drinking again. When Rex had asked her why she had started drinking again after so many years of sobriety, she told him that it wasn’t that big of a deal, and that it didn’t affect anyone else but her. (How wrong she was! She leaves behind several children who are left with lots of anger towards God. Her drinking ended up affecting a lot of people outside herself.)

He mentioned yet again of his strong emotions, and how they can be so overwhelming in their strength. “But that’s just the normal way of grieving, I guess.” He said.

Then I told him of a time when I had wanted to show my children how upset I was over something, so I had started to cry. Then I found I could not stop crying. I cried for the entire day, and finally I went to the Lord and He told me to cast out the demon of crying. I told him that I had felt silly doing so, but as soon as I did, I stopped crying. So yes, our emotions are real, yet satan can come in and up the ante and make them much stronger than they normally would be on their own.

I sensed he did not want to hear this, for he gave me an odd look and then changed the topic. (His response puzzled me, for I knew that he understood well about demons and how they can affect believer’s lives.) All I could do, was hope and pray that he would remember it the next time his grief overwhelmed him, and that he would follow the example and cast out the demon of grief in Jesus name.

After chatting for over a half an hour, I said goodbye to Dave and went back out to the car. I was about to just drive home, when the Lord stopped me, and told me that I had missed calls on my phone. So I checked my cell phone and found that I had missed two calls from my kids. Turns out that the dinner they were cooking (a new recipe one of my kids wanted to try,) had some things in it that my other boys and I can not have. So I asked the Lord what I should do, and He told me to go to a restaurant that I had not gone to in a while.

There I placed my order and waited for it to be cooked. The owner came out to say hello and talk with me. Turns out she no longer has a husband, and she still has her three young children and a restaurant to run. She asked me why she had not seen us in a while. I told her that we didn’t have that kind of money just yet. “But we soon will, I am sure. The Lord takes care of His own.”

“Sometimes” she tells me in a whisper, “I just have to tell my kids that we can not go out and do things, for we too do not have the money right now.”

At this point, I couldn’t help but wonder if the Lord wanted me to give her some money as well. But He told me no. “She just needed your business, and I gave it to her.”

After all this, I drove home, and ate dinner.

I was still sore from the doctor’s visit, and I had an odd feeling that satan was increasing my pain, so I went to one of my boys and asked him to bless me with the blessed olive oil. The moment the oil touched me, the pain went away. Thank you Jesus!

I then went to the computer to write this entry.

I must admit, this is not a typical day in my life. On this day, I was ‘in the zone’ with the Lord. Oh how wonderful it is when this happens!

I pray that you too, dear reader, will hear the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ within you, and that you be filled with His Holy Spirit…

A Snare For Souls

A Dream…

I was a young girl, a strong committed believer in Jesus Christ, and I was walking into a large college building, an institution.

I was starting college, and was quite excited about it. I was eager to learn all about the business, so I could then go out and make a living and support my family with the job I could get from having such a degree.

As me and my fellow students were waiting for the teacher, we chatted and talked, and started to get to know each other. Just then, one of my fellow students spoke up, and called everyone to silence. “Ssh…do you hear that?”

Everyone was quiet for a moment, and heard nothing.

“Just wait…,” she said again.

Then from the silence, came the sound of scales rubbing up against something hard.
It caused the building to give a slight shudder. There was a moment of silence, then the sound came again. We were all shocked at the sound.

The one who noticed it spoke up again. “It sounds like…”

But I finished her sentence for her. “…a huge snake!”

Everyone agreed, as they continued to listen to the pattern of sound. One said “It’s like its moving on top of us!” Another said, “no, it’s from across the hall, there!” And yet another declared that the sound was coming from beneath the room. No one could really tell from where the sound was coming from; it was all around us. But we were able to tell after listening to it for a while, that it became louder when one went towards the windows. One of us looked outside, thinking it could be seen there. But it was not there.

I knew then, along with the girl who had first discovered the sound,
That whatever it was, it was very evil, and was hunting our souls.

Many in the room panicked, having lost their composure from listening to the constant sound, and they turned and raced towards the door, to get out.

I raced with them. Some ran beyond me, out of the entrance, while others were still behind me.

I ran forward under some tables in the hall, hoping to avoid the huge snake that might be there, and then ran out the front doors of the institution. As I ran out, a group of new recruits were going in. I could tell that they were new to the whole experience, for their clothing was lighter and brighter than ours. I could see their excited faces, as they filed in along side me. I tried to reach out to them to warn them, but they would not listen at all to me, and kept going in. So I left them, and ran outside.

As soon as I cleared the door, I came face to face with satan himself. I knew it was satan, for the Holy Spirit inside me told me this. He had sandy blonde hair and a pleasant face, and was dressed in a nice suit, and looked just like what a school administrator would look like.

“Hello Christian,” he sneered, his voice low and rumbling out from him just like a demons voice would.

The panic that hit me then almost overwhelmed me, but at the last moment, just as the administrator came forward to grab me, I remembered to call out the name “Jesus!”, which caused him to back away from me.

Evil came off of him in waves, but I soon learned to brace myself against it. He moved away from me, but I kept him in my line of vision, and I let him know that I knew what he really was, and that I was keeping my eye on him.

He simply shrugged as if he didn’t care at all about what I had said, and continued administrating to the college. “You’ll be back,” he said to me with scorn. “We’re the only ones who can teach you what you need to know.”

I then transferred to another college, in the hopes that it would be different. At this college, the sound of the snake wasn’t as bad, but the evil presence was still there. I seen the same satanic administrator there at the college shortly after joining. It was then that the Holy Spirit told me that all of the colleges were infected with the beast. I wondered at this, for there were a few teachers here and there that were not too bad, and one or two that were even good. (Good meaning they tolerated Christianity fairly well.) But the Holy Spirit told me that it was infected with the evil because of the way they were formed and structured. They were basically meant to be evil by design from the very beginning.

I then went up onto the roof top, and watched as a woman kept declaring how filthy these colleges were, and to prove her point, she took a shovel to the layers of dirt that had settled upon the roof of the institution, and lifted up all the dirt on the college, and began exposing it all to anyone who cared to look. All the history of layers upon layers of smelly yucky ‘dirt’ was excavated for all to see, showing its evil formation from its onset.

I then went back into the college, to see if there were other Christians within it. I found a group of believers that were chanting “C! H! U! R! C! H!” over and over again, like a cheer at a sports game. They were trying to support each other in their faith in Christ, by supporting the gathering of houses of worship on the weekends. This did help them to remember Christ during the week, but some had also given them heavy burdens to carry as a result of such fellowship. I looked over to my right, and seen a small nook, filled with religious leaders. I realized that these were the religious leaders of the college institutions that held their denominational name. All the colleges that had started out as being a learning institution for Christ, and had then later let it slip from their grasp, were there. I saw the pope first, with his crooked cross at the end of his staff, and his false god dagon fish hat sitting upon his head. He wore his usual glimmering satin vestments, all yellow gold and white, and he was sitting there talking to all the other head religious administrators. As I listened, I realized that all these leaders took their cue from the pope, and basically copied his foundations for their own religious institutions, and then made a few changes to make it their own.

I stood there, feeling the pressure to join one of their denominations, but pushed it off. I said out loud in a clear voice, (I know the pope heard me, for I was right next to him,) “I will never go back to those lies! They lied about women being worth less than a man! But God has always loved both woman and man equally! Simple believers are the saints and priests! And besides, there is only one mediator between God and man, and it is not them! They lied about other things through the centuries as well!” (I was thinking of the purchasing of indulgences and the Spanish inquisition when I said this, but I knew that the pope knew full well what I was referring to, so I didn’t need to specifically mention them.) “Those are all man’s beliefs to help him feel powerful, not Gods! Besides, I am free indeed! I no longer need to go to those churches to try and uphold my faith in Jesus! The Holy Spirit teaches me all I need to know, and He has promised to never leave me nor forsake me!”

Just then, the head administrator, satan, walked near me, and our eyes met for just a moment. Then his face was lost into the crowd again.

As I got nearer my graduation date, I found that just walking from class to class itself, was becoming harder and harder. It was as if a lead weight had been strapped onto my back, which was making it hard for me to physically move forward. Towards the end, I felt like getting on my hands and knees and just crawling to class. The Holy Spirit told me that the burden that weighed so heavily on top of me, was the pressure of the college’s secularization methods sitting upon my Christian soul.

Then finally I had earned my degree. But as I sat there contemplating my future with my friends, the satanic administrator came back and sat next to me, and tried to entice me back into his world. Again, the evil flowed from him in waves, and as I shored up my defenses against him, the thought to somehow steal souls back from him came into my mind. I found that the idea intrigued me and invigorated me. So to my friends astonishment, I listened to the administrators words, (this time flowing over me like honey, smooth and practiced,) and I acted like I was trying to follow along with his games. He did fancy ‘miracles’ with his deck of cards, shuffling them with a whir of wind, and then having them fly into his other outstretched hand. He played games of chance with me as well, predicting their outcome, and I remarked to my friends that I wondered how he could do such ‘miracles’. (They looked at me in astonishment, but I gave them a private smile that told them that I knew what I was doing, so they let me be.) Then satan reached out and tried to teach me how to do the same tricks, but I did not really try to do them, but fumbled the cards in my hands instead. He then promised me that if I went on and continued in my studies at the collage, I would learn how to do such things and much more. I smiled and said that I would sign up for more years, for I indeed wanted to learn more.

The devil smiled back at me, and left the booth, content to think that he had at last caught me in his snares.

Little did the foolish, self-absorbed administrator guess, that far from becoming ensnared with the thought of knowing the world’s possible pleasures and secrets, my heart was still set for Jesus and the Kingdom of God. I would work under cover, infiltrate the ranks of the professors, record their ways and methods, and then write a booklet on how to steer clear of all their secularization and assimilation techniques, to help keep one’s Christian soul pure for Christ.

I ended up doing just this, and helped preserve many souls for Christ.

By the time the evil administrator realized what was really happening, I had long gone from the collage.

I then woke up.
