Disaster Averted

On our way camping, we came upon a long and steep decline going into the valley. It was very windy, and blew against the car and tent trailer, and along with the high speed of sixty five miles an hour, we started to fish tail and lost control of the car.

It felt like we increased our speed to much more than the limit, as my husband frantically tried to apply the brakes without locking them up.

There were cars in front of us and behind us; thankfully there were no cars beside us, and those behind us could clearly see our trouble, so they hung back, watching.

We came so close to the car in front of us, so very close. I thought for sure we had touched their bumper.

I asked my husband if he was o.k., and when my usually staid and calm husband admitted to me “I don’t know,” I felt panic hit me hard in the chest. My heart skipped a beat and I stopped breathing.

I knew it was time to pray and pray hard, but for the life of me, I could pull no scriptures to mind. The demon of panic controlled me.

So I started speaking in tongues.

I couldn’t watch anymore, so I closed my eyes, but right before I did, I caught sight of one of the four angels that guard the corners of our vehicles. It was looking at me with such peace and calmness, and I knew it was saying to me, “Come on ma petite! You know He’s got this too!”, taking me to task for letting that panic demon hit me so hard, and for that pause in my faith in Christ.

I kept speaking in tongues as I clung to the sides of my seat.

Finally, it seemed so very long, the fishtailing stopped and my husband had control of the car. I opened my eyes to look at my husband. His color was returning to his face (it had gone quite pale before,) and his grip on the wheel had returned to normal.

Disaster averted.

Thank You Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

Seeing My Mother On Mother’s Day

(I am hesitant to share this post, but the Lord is telling me that there is someone out there who needs to hear it…)

May 13th, 2007 Mother’s Day.

I seen my mother last night in a dream. (She has been dead now for many years.)

I was crying,
Over the stress in my life,
When I said out loud,
(still in my dream,)
“I wish my mother was here!
She’d know just what to say,
To make me feel better!”

And then suddenly,
There she was,
Before me,
With her arms open wide,
Welcoming me back in.

“Oh Mom!” I said to her, still crying,
(But now they were tears of relief,)
I’ve missed you SO MUCH!”

She wrapped her arms around me
Tightly, hugging me back.

She looked younger and full of vitality,
But I knew she was still the same mom that I knew.
I spoke to her about the problems,
And told her of my fears.

“Oh my child,” she said to me in response,
“It’s O.K.; God has us in His hands…”

I sensed that she spoke
Of the time line of eternity,
With ‘us’
Being the line of our family,
Which included my husband
And my children.

I then spent some time there
within her embrace,
soaking up the memories
of what it feels like
to hold her and touch her again.
I breathed in her comfort,
For I knew it might be a long time,
Before I’d get to see her again.

When my spirit was comforted
And at peace,
She left my presence.

I then,
Still in my dream,
Got down on my knees
Right where I was,
And spoke out loud to my God,
Thanking Him
For letting me see and be
With my mother again.

I then woke up.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV) “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV) “And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

A Miracle: The Angel and Their First Customer

In an effort to bring in more money into the household, my husband started up a business. Him and his partners did their research, and knew that there was a great need for the product that they had created. So they were quite confused when, after almost two years, they had not even had one customer. They met and discussed closing the business.

That night, my youngest was woken up in the middle of the night by a very bright light. It shined out from the corner of his room. It waited, and when my son refused to get up, it shined brighter. (He was very tired.) Finally my son realized that it wouldn’t go away and let him sleep, till he got up and gave it some attention.

When he arose, the light dimmed, and he could see an angel of the Lord standing before him.

The angel told him, that the reason his father’s business had no customers, is that there was a pagan man praying to his god to bless this company (he was a friend of one of the partners,) and this man’s prayers were actually a curse upon the company. The angel told him he was to tell us to bind up this man’s prayers, and break their bonds and cords, and claim that they are as nothing.

The angel then said that the company could grow and be a help to us and one day even help out the body of Christ, if we prayed for it. The angel said it needed the prayers of his mother, to help it succeed. (At the time, my husband was doing this on his own, and hadn’t really talked to me about it.) The angel further said that when someone would ask about why the company was so successful, we were to say it was because of Jesus.

My husband was amazed at the message, for he had not told his youngest anything about the company’s problem.

We talked about it and came to an agreement. Then we bound up this man’s prayers in the name of Jesus.

Three days later they got their first customer!

Today, the company is growing, and we give all credit for its success to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hanukkah is a time to remember the miracles on one’s life. This was one of them.

May you be blessed with miracles in your journey with the Lord,
