There are those in our family, that have been given the gift of spiritual discernment. Some of us can see into the unseen world, in one form or another, at different times. Sometimes one can see the demons or angels as clear as one can see anything of substance in this flesh world, (which can be confusing!,) others can sense the demons or angels, hear their voices, or feel their touch, while other times it is seeing their reflection in a reflective surface, such as glass, mirror, or water. Such gifts in our family, have only begun to be seen once they have given their life over to Jesus Christ of Nazareth. When we see the demons, we cast them out in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. When we see the angels of the Most High God, we give thanks to Jesus yet again, for He really is the Author and Finisher of our faith!
Some in my family are not comfortable with others knowing that they have this spiritual gift. Indeed, the world, (even amongst believers!,) tend to think of one that has been given such gifts as “being crazy”, “lieing”, or “weird”. A few of my kids have even taken the chance and shared their gift with others in the church, only to be mocked, ridiculed, and laughed at. So sadly, some of us have learned that it is best to remain silent.
I however, can not remain so. The Holy Spirit presses upon my heart, to share such visions with others over the web, especially with those believers who may be facing demonic attacks and are bewilderd as to how to rid their life from them. So I share here, without naming names, in the hope that the posts will still be comforting, enlightening, and encouraging to those that need it, while still protecting one another from the scorn of the world’s mockery and disbelief.

Yesterday afternoon I did some reading in my bedroom and became drowsy. I lay down on the bed and fell asleep. I had a dream. In the dream, I was walking in these woods with my backpack. I then heard this loud noise: it sounded like a giant bee buzzing around. I caught a glimpse of it: I thought it was a large deer or elk with huge antlers–it was hard to see. It was running around me, trying to frighten me. I lay on the ground on my stomach with my backpack still on my shoulders. I could see this animal and it was making a lot of noise and it seemed like it wanted to kill me. I lay on the ground and said, “Blood of Jesus” or “I plead the Blood of Jesus” maybe three times. I think the animal was angry because it couldn’t kill me. Then I saw this creature: it looked like a fairy with wings and it had what looked like a weapon in its hands–a club or something; it had a hateful and angry look on its face. Then the dream ended.
I believe I know what this dream means. Since I have been here at Ray and Nancy’s place, we have had some very good fellowship. I especially have had some in-depth conversations with Nancy who is very dissatisfied with the fellowship at her church. Nancy told me that she suffered from fear of what people think of her. So I asked her if I could lay hands on her and pray for her. Nancy let me pray for her and I put my right hand on her shoulder and prayed in tongues for a little while. I believe that Nancy allowing me to pray and rebuke the spirit of fear in her broke a satanic stronghold in her. Satan did not like it one bit, so Satan attacked me in the dream that I had yesterday afternoon. During the dream I was paralyzed for a while, but I was somehow able to say “Blood of Jesus”–sometimes I am not able even to say that. Usually, when Satan attacks you in your sleep, Satan paralyzes you and it is very hard to breathe.

Tim, I have been attacked while awake (lying in bed) and in a dream in the way you speak of.
I had a dream a few months ago. In the dream, I woke up on my mother’s couch. Only it wasn’t the place she lives now, it was a different place.
When I woke in the dream, I couldn’t move, I couldn’t speak. There were demons swirling all around me. The demons were going around my body, over my body, and even underneath me as I lay on this couch. I couldn’t see them, but I could feel them. I started saying ‘the LORD JESUS CHRIST rebuke you’. I could only whisper the words, I couldn’t speak allowed.
It was as though the full force of hell was holding me down on that couch. But the more I said the words, I was able to get up, it was so hard to get off of the couch. I tried to take a step forward, but it was as though something was pulling me back. I finally was able to say the words out loud ‘the LORD JESUS CHRIST rebuke you’. Once I said this allowed, the demons left, and I was able to move normally. My mother and brother came into the room at the very moment the demons left. I said to my mother ‘mom, I’ve just been attacked by demons’. She said something back to me but I can’t remember what she said. That’s when I woke up.
When I was married to my first husband, he was in Iraq, serving in the military. I was staying with his parents due to I didn’t like staying alone at my house. I woke up one night in the bed in the guest room at their home where I was staying. I had fallen asleep with the tv on, the Church Channel was playing Church music since it was late at night. When I woke up, I couldn’t move, I couldn’t even open my eyes. But the music from the TV was so loud, almost like it was blasting loud. I felt something pull each of my arms out, like in a stretched out position (like on a Cross) and my feet were pushed together. It felt like I was in a position of a Cross. I sensed though, that JESUS was in the room, watching all of this. So I was unafraid. The next thing that happened was it was like I was being lifted into the air ON A CROSS. I could feel myself being lifted up. I couldn’t see anything, as I couldn’t open my eyes. I started to pray, and the experience stopped instantly. When I was able to open my eyes, the music went down to the normal sound at that moment, and everything was back to normal.
I attended a charism workshop at my Catholic Church and we studied discernment of spirits. It’s rare, but I believe in it. I don’t have it. My mother has the charism for intercessory prayer. I have a charism for being supportive. I believe the Holy Spirit works in mysterious ways including discernment of spirits. Just look at a man like Joseph Kony if you wonder what Satan looks like. A charism workshop at a Catholic church? I had never heard of that before. I was brought up as a staunch Roman Catholic, and they never spoke of gifts given to the believer. It sounds interesting.
I had a strict Catholic upbringing as well. Yes, that is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the workshop leader said it was rare and real. The workshop was led by the Catherine of Siena Institute and it was excellent. I learned so much about how to use my gifts. I am sure you would love it, you must feel a bit like you are going it alone (hope I’m not overstepping).

I would have felt more alone, had it not been for a book by William and Sharon Schnoebelen called ‘Blood On The Doorposts’. It’s an advanced course in spiritual warfare. Some of my kids however, have felt alone, at least among their own age group. (Other teens have mocked them, upon hearing of their gift.) It would be quite a blessing to find others their age, who also have these kinds of gifts. I trust that my God will one day provide them with this…:-)
There are children who hear the Voice of the LORD. My middle daughter (who is now 7 years old) when she was 6 years old, she had a dream. She told me that in the dream, she heard someone calling for her. She wasn’t sure who it was so she didn’t go at first. Then she heard it again, and it was an Angel who was calling. She said the Angel was standing next to a throne, and JESUS was sitting on the Throne. She said that the Lord JESUS said to her ‘why didn’t you come when I called for you?’ and my daughter answered ‘because I didn’t know it was You’. She said the Lord then pulled out two pictures of HIM, a large picture and a small picture, and HE gave her the small picture.
She had another dream, when she was 5 years old, she said in the dream, she went outside of our home. She said a wind came and pulled her up into the sky. She was afraid so she said ‘JESUS, save me’. She said JESUS appeared and took her, and brought her safely down to the ground.
My oldest daughter (I have 3 girls total) she is 16. There is so much I could say about her, but I won’t say publicly right now. I’m too protective of her. But just know, you aren’t alone.

I have been having some challenges and don’t quite know whats going on in me. I came to Christ after years in the occult. He revealed himself to me through dreams and after 3 years I finally surrendered my life to him. Because of the doors I had opened I had to experience a lot of spiritual warfare. I had to be delivered from unclean spirits and have my mind renewed. I had been lukewarm for some time and only in these past three years truly put God first and strive to be in submission and obedience. I had two major sin issues that kept me bound, I wasn’t able to experience a deeper walk because I wasn’t being obedient and enjoyed my sin. Praise God I have been set free since 1/1/2013 and I ask his grace and mercy to keep me from sin. My challenge has always been an openness to mystical things and the occult. Since giving my life to Christ I DO NOT PLAY AROUND WITH THIS. I have removed myself from most of my former associates and don’t entertain supernatural movies, books or ANYTHING like this. My only sibling is a practicing muslim, I pray for her yet know my best witness is my lifestyle and sharing my experiences while not “preaching” to her. Though we had a strained relationship growing up we have a pretty cool friendship now and talk often. She lives in another state so it is mostly phone conversation. I never criticize her faith and though I share naturally the things in my life (in which Christ is central) I don’t speak with her specifically on matters of faith. She knows my testimony though. Well she recently left islam and is going full force into the occult. This has been in the making for awhile. We are African/Native American so it first started with more nationalistic thinking, I used to be there so know sometimes that is part of the process of growing up of color in America. The issues are valid I just view it more as satan working through individuals or groups of people and less about race. Well the next step is african/native shamanic practices. She believes I just had bad experiences, not that the faiths are inherently evil. I have been soooo burdened by this. My husband has shown me that the enemy has been using this situation to have me worried and not faith filled. As I was meditating on this I began to wonder why my sister who obviously knows this is NOT my path and that I feel strongly against such things feels the need to give me a step by step play of her walk in the occult. My good friend was in a relationship with a man born and raised in the occult. We introduced him to Christ and he had an incredible deliverance, he then went back to his religion and is now severely oppressed/”possessed”. The Lord has been preparing me through mini fasts for the past few months, he had placed a longer water fast on my heart. My friend called and asked me to agree in a fast for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and deliverance for our friend. I feel “led” to share this with you, I haven’t found a home church in my area yet so don’t have much fellowship with local believers. I have been visiting Churches and some are nice, a lot are masonic and others aren’t biblical based so it’s been a challenge. I WANT to be in obedience about this so have been fellow ship at a local Church but I am not really fed. Thank You for sharing your site. Why should you not write to me? (Your last statement hinted that you should not.) I do not understand. Please know, I need to hear and interact with other believers just like anyone else. Usually I am able to write back, but am sometimes quite busy, so it may be a few days before I can find the time to respond, especially if it needs a long response.
I am very glad to hear of your freedom in Him! I myself have struggles against the evil one, so it is good to hear of another being set free from theirs!
Wow! The Lord revealed to you who He was through dreams? Those dreams must have been AMAZING!
There is a book called “Blood On The Doorposts”, by William and Sharon Schnoebelen, which has been instrumental in highlighting the areas of danger for a believer, especially when it comes to spiritual warfare. They were both practicing witches/satanists before coming to Christ.
It sounds like your sister is trying to get you to ‘play around with these (occult) things’ again. Could a demon be causing your sister to ‘pester’ you with the descriptions of her occult dealings, in the hopes that you will become entangled within it once again? (The demon may be hoping this; your sister may not even be aware of what she’s doing.) At some point, you may need to ask her not to describe such to you, for your belief is now different. If she keeps it up, you could then cast out the demons of sorcery in the name of Jesus Christ. (Or whatever demon the Holy Spirit tells you it is.) You could even do this under your breath, while listening to her over the phone. If you do not feel you have the right to remove them from her, you could bind them up in Jesus name, so they will at least leave you alone, while you’re talking to her. Sadly, sometimes relationships can become untenable between believers and non-believers. So much so, that some have found it best to break all ties with their unbelieving family member, for their own safety. (This usually only happens with those who are DEEP into the occult and Satanism, and who keep trying to bring the person back into it with occult spells.) I pray this will not be the case with your sister.
It is neat to hear that you have a husband who is also a believer in Jesus Christ! So often times now, one is a believer and the other is not. It can make life and spiritual warfare very difficult, to say the least!
We have searched for a good church to go to for ages. While we were living in the city, it was much easier to find. But most churches now a days, have sold out their identity and practice pagan rituals, instead of the ones found in the Bible. My husband still goes to a church near by, but it is not one in where I or the children have felt safe in. (I call it the ‘half-way-there’ church, for half the year they stick to the celebrations found in the Bible, and the other half they revert to the Catholic pagan ones.) There is still too much Catholicism in their practices, for us to feel at peace there. Our whole family goes to a Shabbat dinner every other Friday, with a group of Messianic believers. The drive is about an hour and fifteen minutes one way, so it can be prohibitive at times, simply because of the distance. (We are way out in the country.) It is neat to discover the old traditions of Jesus’ faith, yet I have yet to meet a believer there, who believes in spiritual warfare, or the unseen world. But at least at those gatherings, I don’t have to listen to Christmas songs, or hear about the Easter egg hunts. Instead we hear about Passover, the Feast of Tabernacles, the Feast of Miracles, and Shabbat readings. Quite a welcome difference for our family!
Masonic churches I would stay VERY much away from, as they are not truly Christian. The demons one can pick up from such a place, are nothing to toy with either. They’re big, bad, and they mean business!
It is really hard to find a good bible-based church, no matter if one is in the city or in the country. But there are many different ways, to keep meeting with other believers and being a part of the body of Christ besides the insides of institutional churches. As we get closer to the end of times, I think more meetings will be found within believer’s homes.
Shamanistic practices can become very enslaving for those practicing it. Keep praying for your sister’s deliverance! I will pray for hers, as well as your friend’s.
It sounds like the Holy Spirit is very strong in you Sabahspsalm. I pray the Lord will remain strong in you, and that you will become a strong warrior for His kingdom!

Hello, my name is Linnea Stanley. I’m a 20-year-old student living in Utah and I have many questions regarding the unseen world. Within the past year or two, I’ve noticed myself becoming progressively sensitive and aware of my surroundings in a different way than I ever have before. The best way I can explain it is a “feeling” or a “vibe” that certain people/places give off. Sometimes I even know the thoughts and/or intentions of a person no matter how well I know them. This is all pretty new to me so I want to know if it’s just my curious brain making me believe its real, or if I actually do have a gift. I’m nervous to ask or tell anyone about this, I don’t want to be branded as “crazy” or “weird” like you mentioned. I’ve tried doing some research on my own by reading a book called “Anatomy of the Spirit” which definitely has helped, and looking on the internet for anything/anyone with the same experiences. This is the first time actually putting myself out there asking for help.
To give a little history, I was raised in the LDS church (with non-LDS parents) which I believe taught me to be sensitive to what I feel. I’m not nearly as active as I was in high school, but as I’ve met more interesting people, and as my mind has been opened to different ideas, I’ve noticed a positive significant change in myself but also a deeper change. The Mexican side of my family from Texas/Mexico are very intuitive and superstitious. My mom is very in touch with her “gut feeling”, I’ve always known she’s had some form of a 6th sense, but she doesn’t really acknowledge it. My closest grandma from that side (my mom’s mom) is the same way but she goes deeper into it. She does Tarot readings, Angel cards, and very often seeks guidance from psychics. Many years ago back in 2005, she had a psychic from Mexico come into her home. I remember everything except her name and that she hardly spoke English. As she looked at me (I’m assuming to get a reading) she told my grandma that I also have the gift…and left it at that. I’ve never forgotten about it but I’ve kinda disregarded it in my own way until lately as I’ve noticed these changes in myself.
If I indeed have the gift, I want to use it. But I don’t know how. I need the guidance and advice from someone that knows how it all works and how I can progress into seeing the unseen, so to speak. If you don’t know the answer or how to guide me into it all, that’s totally okay. But if you could point me the right direction of who or where to go to I’d very much appreciate it. I’m serious about this and want to know how I can use it, if I can progress with it, or if I really have the gift at all.

There are two forms of having the ‘6th sense’. One comes from satan, and the other comes from Jesus Christ. Are you a believer in Jesus Christ? If you are, then ask Him to bind up all the powers in you that have come from satan, and then cast them out in the name of Jesus. Then ask Jesus to please bless you with the spiritual gifts that He desires for you. I have found that the more time I spend in prayer with the Lord, (talking to Him as my best friend,) I find that the gifts of His Holy Spirit increase within me. The more time I spend with Him, the more I can see into the unseen world. The Lord Himself, through the Holy Spirit, is the one who teaches us all that we need to know. He teaches us how to use the gifts He has given us. The usage may be different for different people. Always however, the gifts are used to further His kingdom.
The fact that your family has a history of being involved with the occult, and has included that ‘6th sense’, makes me think that it could be a familiar demon passing through the bloodlines down to you. Be very wary of this. Being given power to do things that comes from satan, can literally lead you into hell. Satan NEVER gives anything freely; he always has evil ties connected to his ‘gifts’…

I normally might email you with the question I have but I do not have your email and from reading your site figure it’s still difficult for you to get around to them/are busy.
I had a question concerning dealing with the hierarchy of demonic presences. If you had experienced them and the differences etc. I know I have experienced times when I have felt something around with more authority (think of “sending in the big guns” in terms of hindering what God is working on around us). They seem to feel in what I can only think of as “larger” or “higher up the food chain” than the typical ones that hide around, lurking, trying not to be noticed so they will not be kicked out. They seem more in your face and confrontational. I’m not sure if any of this makes sense so if I need to explain further please let me know.
I currently live in a situation where many of these things that are experienced are only able to be talked about with a few people, none of which I live with. It can become difficult when trying to cast things out if others you live with let them right back in (usually through the TV or areas of their lives that need healing, etc).
I didn’t know if you might have some sort of insight on this matter. I’m very hesitant to look into most things concerning these topics online since most people have a skewed view of the spiritual realm and I do not typically trust others with their information.
All of these things can still be fairly confusing to go through, especially while I am currently in a situation with the Lord that He is teaching me to hear him in other ways so it can be difficult to either get an answer or know if the answer was from Him. It can also be frustrating and at times terrifying when feeling as though I have no support in trying to figure some of this out.
Sorry for ranting so much, just trying to give a brief background for understanding. I guess I’m wondering if you or anyone you know has experienced similar things and could give any insight for it. I cannot see what is around me right now, which I know there is reason for that, but I can pick up on things.

Yes, we have run into demons that were higher up in the command chain than others; specifically, we have come up against a few principality demons. Those we bound up in the name of Jesus, and commanded them to leave us alone. Fortunately, they must abide by the same rules as all demons must; namely they must leave or stop their attacks when commanded to in the name of Jesus Christ! (The principality demons we encountered were those placed over huge pieces of land.)
Other times, we have come up against strong demons, and we have found it helpful to recite scriptures out loud, and then cast them out. (The scriptures causes them to become weak, and they cry out in pain from hearing the words. It stops their attack cold.)

I haven’t fully noticed areas many of these demons may be attacking when I pick up on them or they are revealed to me. At times some seem to hide when they realize I can feel them, others seem more bold as if they’re coming right up to me when I notice them. Usually they get rebuked and cast out as soon as they’re noticed so I haven’t gone through the attack/war zone aspects yet, thankfully. I think what I might be dealing with are more principalities around the area I live in and some demons lower in rank in homes. They get cast out at night now but with all the different people around they seem to get let right back in later.
I can’t imagine seeing or sensing them they way you and your family does though who knows, I might experience that more someday. For now I’m just trying to pay attention to what God shows me more than them. God does share some of what they’re doing at times though I do not always understand why in the moment but thankfully it’s revealed later.
Anyway, sorry to rant. Don’t have many people to share these things with. Hope you are doing well!
I posted a message to my brother about telling him that we were not of this world, we are from the unseen world. And he answered back with this ?. Love you Sis. So if I close my eyes to darkness while I’m driving. What are the odds of me making it to your place? How would i answer that?
I’d say the odds were excellent if God was telling you to do it. But I’d also wonder why this person was wanting to test God like that.
There have been times when one of my boys would get lost, in a big mall or in a fairgrounds, and the Lord led them to where we were every time…
My grandmother had a gift of seeing what’s hidden to most. I thought it skipped a generation but my daughter has it as well. I just wanted to testify that he’ll s real. July 27 2014 I was drug there (my grandmother spoke of this when I was a child ) she’s been with the lors for 18/19 years now. I have changed my ways as I was into some dark things I’ll never go back to that) but I came back from hell and share my story I have more faith and hope now than ever before and still demons tormemt me but they don’t scare me and they cower to the powerful name jesis Christ!
Hi, thank you for this post! I wanted to share with you that my fourteen year old daughter seems to have this particular gift, on seeing some of the spirit world. She saw a demon in the house not long ago. I am currently trying to learn about deliverance, etc. I have been Christian for a long time now but there is much to learn! Thanks for your bravery.

It is quite an eye opener to have one who can see into the unseen world, isn’t it? When my boys started seeing these things, I searched the whole internet for someone else who was seeing the same things, but found no one. I think there will be more as the end grows closer.
